The Chair is published
‘The Chair‘ was ‘shortlisted’ for the Asham Award but has remained unpublished until now. I am really pleased that it will appear in the debut issue of Cigale Literary Magazine.
It is the story of a chance meeting between two people who would not normally expect to connect, and about making choices; about how we never know how things will turn out. The story deals with some big issues: split families, immigration, AIDS, the ecological impact of the oil business and growing old. I picked Cigale because of their outward-looking ethic. Update: Cigale Literary Magazine is now defunct but it has been archived. You can my story read it here.
Excellent story. The stuff that life is made of – chance encounters.
