Story with Co-Curate
I’ve contributed a piece to Co-Curate, an interesting arts project entitled ‘Beauty in Imperfection’, run by Kingston University and the London Sinfonietta. It was centred on the Peckham Asylum Chapel, with a performance there by some of the London Sinfonietta players. I’m a big fan of theirs! My contribution, ‘Girl in a Chapel’ is online here – I gather it will be presented in some form along with other people’s contributions at a concert in the chapel. It’s a pity I can’t go but it was very interesting to write. I visited the chapel a few years ago -there was an exhibition on – it’s a atmospheric place – the flaking blue paint is fantastic. I loved the snippet of cello music that was the starting point. All in all, a very inspiring writing experience. And all done in one morning – it was a tight deadline!
