Flash Fiction in Ellipsis
‘Girl Wrapped in Beads‘ is now published by the marvellous Ellipsis Magazine.
I have written a few of these ‘Girl…’ vignettes, flash fiction, stories and poems. It started with the 10 Days arts project a few years ago when ‘Girl in a Borrowed Cloak’ was displayed in Winchester Cathedral. Later ‘Girl who Climbed’ was published in the Paradox anthology, and ‘Girl in the Chapel’ was published online by Co-Curate. There are a couple of others too, but I’m thrilled that the wonderful folk at the beautiful Ellipsis magazine have taken this particular one because it has its own little story. It was written in response to Lucy Ash’s painting, ‘Oxygen’, which in turn formed one third of a triptych. ‘Girl Wrapped in Beads’ – Oxygen – deals with dreams, self-doubt and the fragility of hope. Very many thanks to Ellipsis for publishing it and to Lucy Ash for the inspiration. Here is Lucy’s beautiful painting, ‘Oxygen’, in Winchester Cathedral.
